Sacramento State 24, Weber State 12

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Ramon Payne had two of Sacramento State's four interceptions, and Matt Logue returned another for a score in a 31-12 victory over Weber State on Saturday night.

Tyronne Gross ran for two touchdowns for the Hornets (2-4, 1-2 Big Sky), who ended their three-game losing streak and a two-game scoreless drought.

Joe Johnson kicked four field goals for the Wildcats (0-7, 0-4), but Kyle Bauer's inaccurate passing was costly.

After Sacramento State fell behind 6-0, Gross' 19-yard TD run late in the first quarter provided the Hornets' first points in 11 quarters. Logue returned a screen pass 14 yards for a score moments later.

Running back Ryan Mole threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Coogler to give the Hornets a 21-6 lead in the third quarter.
