BOSTON (AP) -- Clifton Dawson ran for 111 yards and two
touchdowns while Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a pair of touchdown passes
and ran for a score on Saturday in Harvard's 41-14 win over
Northeastern (3-3) fumbled three times, leading to 13 Crimson
Dawson scored on a one-yard run, Fitzpatrick on a two-yard run
and Matt Schindel kicked a 23-yard field goal in the third quarter
as Harvard (5-0), leading 24-14 at halftime, took command.
Fitzpatrick threw a 1-yard pass to Adam Jenkins at 5:40 of the
first quarter to give Harvard a 7-0 lead. Fitzpatrick completed 22
of 37 passes for 206 yards with a pair of interceptions.
The Huskies tied the game 3:39 later when Shawn Brady threw a
19-yard pass to Quintin Mitchell. Brady completed 15 of 27 passes
for 171 yards.
Dawson gave Harvard a 14-7 lead at the 13:30 mark of the second
quarter on a 7-yard run.
Five minutes later Brady tied the game with a 15-yard run.
Fitzpatrick's 13-yard pass to Brian Edwards with 3:54 left in
the first half gave the Crimson a 21-14 lead. Schindel kicked a
38-yard field goal with two seconds remaining in the opening half
to give Harvard a 24-14 halftime lead.
