ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) -- Jamaal Branch scored on a three-yard run with less than eight minutes to play and Colgate held on to beat Cornell 10-6 on Saturday.

Branch, who had 95 yards on 27 carries, became the third player in Colgate history to score 40 career touchdowns.

The Raiders (4-2) set up the score with a 42-yard reception by Luke Graham, who caught nine passes for 159 yards. He's now second on the school's all-time reception list with 186 catches. Chris Brown completed 13 of 24 passes for 170 yards.

The final drive by Cornell ended with an incomplete fourth-down pass on its own 35 yard line.

Andre Hardaway made a 20-yard touchdown run for Cornell (1-4) in the second period. He ran 20 times for 84 yards.

Lane Schwarzberg kicked a 25-yard field goal for Colgate in the third period and the extra point in the fourth.
