DAVIS, Calif. (AP) -- Matt Bodley caught a 4-yard touchdown pass
from Michael Williams with 6:07 left, and Stephen F. Austin rallied
for a 22-19 victory over UC Davis on Saturday.
Williams passed for 217 yards and two scores, and Derek Farmer
rushed for 99 yards and caught a TD pass as the Lumberjacks (5-1)
beat a fellow Division I-AA power in their first game ever in
Tony Tompkins threw a touchdown pass and later caught the
2-point conversion pass following Bodley's score.
Jon Grant passed for 275 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for
another score for the Aggies (5-1). UC Davis scored 19 straight
points in the first half while holding the ball for more than 20
minutes, but got shut out in the second half for the second time in
Stephen F. Austin scored on its first two possessions, including
Miguel Toulon's 72-yard TD reception from Williams.
Will Grier threw four touchdown passes to four receivers -- all in the first half -- and No. 25 Florida downed third-ranked Mississippi 38-10 on Saturday night.
