LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- Torian Johnson tackled Ryan Korn at the
1-yard line after he recovered his own blocked field goal attempt
on the last play to preserve Lafayette's 14-13 victory over
Bucknell on Saturday.
Korn's 39-yard field goal attempt with 0:03 on the clock was
blocked by Joe Ort, but the ball bounced back to Korn, who broke
into the clear before he was dragged down by Johnson just short of
the right pylon.
Earlier, Korn kicked two field goals, including a 25-yarder with
five seconds left in the first half to give the Bison a 10-7
Joe McCourt rushed for 167 yards and a third-quarter touchdown
to lead Lafayette (5-2, 2-0 Patriot League), which also got a
10-yard touchdown run Brad Maurer late in the second quarter.
Maurer completed 7-of-10 passes for 90 yards.
Frank Lazio had 106 rushing yards to lead Bucknell (3-3, 1-1)
and Peter Kaufman put the Bison on the board with a 61-yard
touchdown run with 10 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
Backup quarterback John Henry Jackson was 9-of-20 for 105 yards
for Bucknell, which outgained the Leopards 402-297 -- including
274-197 on the ground -- but turned the ball over four times on
fumbles by starting quarterback Daris Wilson.
