Sacred Heart 38, Marist 10

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) -- Tailback Ed Pricolo scored two touchdowns and Sacred Heart University took advantage of two Marist College turnovers to score three TDs in 1:55 in the first half, defeating Marist 38-10 in a non-conference game Saturday.

Sacred Heart (3-3) scored first on a 17-yard pass from quarterback Dan Ammel to Pricolo with 11:09 left in the first quarter.

Marist (2-4) started their next possession at their own 19 but engineered a 17-play, 77-yard drive that ended in a 21-yard field goal by kicker Brad Rowe with 2:11 left in the first.

An interception of Marist quarterback James Luft by safety Dave Kaloyanides in the final minute set the next Sacred Heart score. Receiver Joey Henley caught a 7-yard pass in the endzone from Ammel on the final play of the period to give the Pioneers a 21-3 lead.

In the second half, an errant snap on a punt went over Faughnan's head and out of the end zone to put Sacred Heart up 32-10. On the kickoff, James Wright closed the scoring for Sacred Heart by returning the kick 69 yards for a touchdown.

Pricolo finished the game with 110 yards on 16 carries, extending his school record for consecutive 100-yard performances.
