ELON, N.C. (AP) -- Scott Beckler kicked a 25-yard field goal and Jerome Felton added a touchdown to lift Furman to a 10-0 shutout win over Elon on Saturday night.

The Paladins (6-2, 3-1 Southern Conference) scored all 10 of their points in the second quarter. Beckler's FG came early in the period, followed by Felton's 3-yard TD pass from Ingle Martin. The scoring drive was the result of a 70-yard drive that started with an interception at 8:41.

Beckler attempted to take a first quarter lead over the Phoenix (2-5, 1-3) with a 36-yard field goal try at 3:50 in the period.

Furman had 40 rushing attempts for 127 net yards, while Elon went 27-90.

The Phoenix had 12 turnovers in the 2 hour and 58 minute game.
