NEW YORK (AP) -- Quarterback Brad Maurer ran for two touchdowns, and Lafayette defeated Fordham 35-20 on Saturday.

Maurer, who scored on runs of 13 and 71 yards, finished with 136 yards on 15 carries for the Leopards (6-2, 3-0 Liberty). Maurer also completed 12 of 15 passes for 90 yards.

Joe McCourt, who rushed for touchdowns of 7 and 2 yards, gained 103 yards on 25 attempts.

Fordham's Derric Daniels threw TD passes of 75 and 42 yards and wound up 16-of-37 for 282 yards with one interception.

McCourt's 7-yard run at 7:15 of the first quarter and Andy Brown's recovery of Daniel's fumble in the end zone 12 seconds later gave the Leopards a 14-0 lead.

Daniels atoned for the miscue with a 75-yard TD pass to Jamaal Hunt, cutting the deficit to 14-7. Micah Clukey got the Rams (4-3, 1-1) within 14-13 on two field goals in the second quarter.

Maurer's two rushing touchdowns in the third boosted the Leopards' lead to 28-13.
