RENO, Nev. (AP) -- Tulsa running back Brandon Diles fumbled out of the end zone from the 1-yard line to hand Nevada a 54-48 victory in triple overtime.
Nevada receiver Nichiren Flowers caught a 25-yard pass for the go-ahead touchdown Saturday night.
In double overtime, Wolf Pack cornerback Kevin Stanley intercepted a pass by Tulsa's James Kilian on the 3-yard line. But Wolf Pack kicker Damon Fine missed a 38-yard field goal try that would have given the win to Nevada (4-4, 2-2 Western Athletic Conference).
The two teams scored four touchdowns in the final 2:18 of regulation to send the game into overtime. Tulsa tight end Caleb Blankenship reeled in a 16-yard pass from Kilian with no time left to tie the game at 41. The Golden Hurricane (1-6, 0-3) took 36 seconds to drive 82 yards for the score.
Just moments before, Nevada running back Chance Kretschmer scored on an 18-yard run to give Nevada the 41-34 lead. Kretschmer's touchdown was his second score in the final 2:17, punching in a 5-yard run that gave the Wolf Pack a 34-27 lead.
But Tulsa's Ashlan Davis returned the kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown, his second in two weeks, to tie the game at 34. The teams combined for 1,000 yards of total offense.
Nevada quarterback Jeff Rowe completed 20-of-33 passes for 299 yards and two touchdowns. Kretschmer ran for 112 yards. Diles finished with 202 yards on 34 carries and three touchdowns.
