BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) -- Eric Rath rushed for 94 yards and a go-ahead touchdown and Julian Austin picked off a pass at the goal line to preserve a 21-14 Lehigh win over Colgate on Saturday.

With the game tied 14-14, Rath scored on a 2-yard run that was set up by Kerrie Ford's interception to give Lehigh (7-1, 3-0 Patriot League) the lead with 3:39 to go in the third quarter.

Colgate (5-3, 3-1) got the ball back on its own 23-yard line after Lehigh turned the ball over on downs with 4:11 remaining in the game. The Raiders drove down to the Lehigh 12 but Chris Brown's pass on 3rd and 1 was picked off by Austin at the goal line with six seconds to go, allowing Lehigh to run out the clock.

Lehigh's Mark Borda finished 15-of-26 for 134 yards with a pair of touchdown passes to Marques Thompson and also rushed for 91 yards on 12 carries.

The Mountain Hawks' defense held Colgate's Jamaal Branch to just 29 yards on the ground -- nearly 100 yards under his season average -- and with just seven of those yards coming after halftime.

Brown finished 25-of-36 for 259 yards for the Raiders and threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to DeWayne Long that tied the score at 7 early in the second quarter.

Lehigh and Colgate each missed field goal attempts in the first half but neither team punted before halftime as Borda went 10-of-13 for 109 yards and two scores while Brown completed 14 passes for 159 yards and one score.
