SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- Clyde Tullis threw three touchdown passes and Deandre Young opened the scoring on a 34-yard interception return to lead Savannah State to a 34-0 victory over Allen on Saturday.

Tullis, who completed 17 of 23 passes for 204 yards, had scoring passes of 14 yards to Kentar Carlisle, 18 yards to Trevi Sticklen and 12 yards to Marcus Harris.

The Tigers (2-5) also scored on Myshun McAlpine's 7-yard run in the fourth period.

The Tigers posted their first shutout since 1998, when they held Lane and Morehouse scoreless on consecutive weeks. Allen (3-4) managed only 16 yards on the ground and 36 in the air.

McAlpine had a big day on the ground for Savannah State, gaining 119 yards on 17 carries.

Young's interception staked the Tigers to a 7-0 lead only 53 seconds into the game.
