Alcorn State 33, SE Louisiana 27

HAMMOND, La. (AP) -- Donald Carrie threw for 283 yards and two scores, and Alcorn State scored 15-straight points in the fourth quarter to take a 33-27 victory over Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday night.

Southeastern (5-3) led 20-17 as the fourth quarter began. But Carrie -- who was 19-of-33 with no interceptions -- found Johnny Washington with a 7-yard touchdown pass to cap a 10-play, 63-yard drive.

Michael Shepherd's 2-yard TD run and David McConnell's 37-yard field goal gave Alcorn (5-3) a 33-20 lead before Martin Hankins hit Josh Taylor with an 11-yard touchdown pass for the Lions with 17 seconds to go.

Southeastern tried an on-sides kick, but Alcorn recovered to seal the victory.

Hankins passed for 374 yards and three touchdowns but also was intercepted three times. His two other touchdown passes went for 20 yards to Jeffrey Howard and for 29 yards to Felton Huggins. Hankins also scored on a 1-yard run.
