Youngstown State 45, Indiana State 20

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) -- Josh Cayson ran for 158 yards and two touchdowns and Tom Zetts threw two scoring passes to lead Youngstown State over Indiana State 45-20 Saturday.

The Penguins (4-5, 1-4 Gateway Conference) led 14-13 at halftime, then put up 31 points in dominating the second half.

The Sycamores (3-6, 1-4) took an early lead when Phillip Johnson connected with Jamie Petrowski on a 30-yard scoring pass. Johnson added a 61-yard scoring pass to Markus Naves in the fourth quarter and finished 19-of-36 for 230 yards.

Indiana State led 13-7 when Zetts, who was 12-of-19 for 140 yards, threw a 17-yard scoring pass to Matt Rycraft in the second quarter to put the Penguins ahead. His other touchdown pass was a 23-yarder to Demetrius Ison in the third.

The Penguins' Steve Reynolds ended any Indiana State hope for a late comeback with a 43-yard interception return with 1:57 left.

Youngstown State ran for 278 yards in 53 carries.
