Dartmouth 20, Brown 7

HANOVER, N.H. (AP) -- Chad Gaudet ran for 137 yards and scored a
touchdown to lead Dartmouth to a 20-7 win over Brown on Saturday.

Gaudet drove into the end zone late in the second period on a
7-yard run and the final touchdown came on a 12-yard scoring pass
from Charlie Rittgers to Andrew Hall early in the fourth quarter.

Erik Hinterbichler converted after each touchdown and kicked
field goals of 29 and 20 yards for Dartmouth (1-8, 1-5), which had
lost eight in a row, the longest tailspin in a football history
dating from 1881.

With Anthony Gargiulo leading a tenacious Dartmouth defense that
had six sacks and an interception, Brown (5-4, 2-4) never got
started until after Hall's TD catch when the Bears marched 67 yards
in 14 plays for their lone score.

They also had a drive stopped at the Dartmouth 5 with four
minutes left.

Nick Hartigan powered in for the score from the 1 for Brown's
TD. He finished with 65 yards rushing on 15 carries.

Hinterbichler put Dartmouth ahead for good with a 29-yard field
goal with 35 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
