Bucknell 42, Colgate 7

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- Quarterback Daris Wilson rushed for 236
yards and five touchdowns to lead Bucknell to a 42-7 victory over
Colgate on Saturday.

Wilson threw just three complete passes in the game but scored
twice in the second quarter and three times in the third for
Bucknell (6-4, 4-2 Patriot League).

Colgate (6-4, 3-2), which lost starting quarterback Chris Brown
to a lower leg injury in the first quarter, also lost its first
road game in Lewisburg since 1996.

The injury came on Colgate's only successful drive. Freshman Lee
Sloan replaced Brown and completed a three-yard pass to Luke Graham
at 5:18 in the first quarter to give Colgate an early lead.

Wilson struck back in the second with a 50-yard touchdown run.
Defensive end Sean Conover then blocked and recovered a punt to
give Bucknell the ball at the Colgate 4-yard-line. Wilson scrambled
into the end zone on the next play to give Bucknell a 14-7 lead it
never relinquished.

In the second half, Wilson took the first snap from scrimmage
for a 64-yard touchdown. In his next offensive series, Wilson threw
an interception to Chris Williams, but the Bison defense held at
its own 38. After taking over on downs, Wilson took the first snap
and dashed 69 yards for another touchdown.

He scored once more on a 1-yard run with 4:35 left in the third
and Peter Kaufman finished the scoring for Bucknell with a 7-yard
touchdown run near the end of the quarter.
