HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) -- Shawn Brady threw a 22-yard touchdown
pass to Shane Hopkins in the second overtime to give Northeastern a
37-34 victory over Hofstra Saturday, snapping the Huskies'
four-game losing streak.
Brady finished 16-of-29 for 221 yards for the Huskies (4-6, 3-4
Atlantic 10). He also caught a 40-yard TD pass on a flea-flicker
from running back Cory Parks that gave Northeastern a 24-21 lead
with 1:31 left in regulation.
Chris Onorato of the Pride (5-5, 3-4) sent the game into
overtime with a 40-yard field goal with 9 seconds on the clock.
In the first overtime, the Huskies went up 31-24 on Maurice
Murray's 3-yard run, but Hofstra evened the score on Anton
Clarkson's third TD pass of the day, an 8-yard toss to Charles
The Pride took a 34-31 lead in the second extra session on
Onorato's 30-yard field goal before Brady connected with Hopkins
for the win.
Clarkson completed 28 for 49 passes for 290 yards.
