SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Adam Martinez ran for a touchdown and caught a scoring pass, and Anthony Garnett passed for 247 yards in Cal Poly's 58-13 victory over Sacramento State on Saturday night.

Martinez scored on a one-yard run exactly one minute into the game, then caught a 17-yard TD pass in the second quarter as Cal Poly (9-2) built a 24-7 halftime lead.

The Mustangs, ranked 18th in Division I-AA, will learn Sunday if they'll receive an at-large berth to the division's 16-team playoff field.

Fred Amey caught nine passes for 143 yards in the season finale for Sacramento State (3-7), which made turnovers on two of its first four plays to set up scores for the Mustangs.

Garnett, 12-of-24 in less than three quarters of work, had a 2-yard touchdown run midway through the third quarter. Less than two minutes later, safety Kenny Chicoine returned an interception 68 yards for a score.

Amey had 114 yards receiving by halftime, pushing the senior over 4,000 yards in his career and into fourth place on the Division I-AA career yardage list. Amey finished his career with 4,049 yards, leaving him 644 behind career leader Jerry Rice of Mississippi Valley State.
