Bowie State 35, Morgan State 21

BALTIMORE (AP)-- Isaac Redman rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns to help Bowie State score a 35-21 upset over Morgan State on Saturday.

Redman set a school record with a 99-yard scoring run that gave Bowie State (3-0) a 28-0 lead with 5:42 left in the first half. Redman had 32 carries and averaged 6.5 yards per attempt as Morgan State (0-2) couldn't stop him or the smaller Division II school's offense.

The sophomore broke the 200-yard mark early in the third quarter before the Bowie State offense began to sputter. Lamar Manigo ran for 113 yards and threw for 85 more, guiding a Bulldog offense that finished with 479 yards total offense. They ran for 394 yards overall.

Morgan State began to rally after falling behind 28-0 and 35-7. Byron Selby threw for 236 yards and ran for two touchdowns, but the Bears kept having problems when trying to pull closer.

They sliced the Bowie State lead to 35-21 when Jason Jackson scored on a 2-yard run with 13:40 left, but could do no more.
