HANOVER, N.H. (AP) -- Pat McDermott passed for two third-period touchdowns and Derek Zoch kicked four field goals Saturday as Penn beat Darmouth 26-9.

Zoch kicked field goals of 35, 37 and 24 yards in the second quarter of a sluggish first half and the visiting Quakers (2-1, 1-0 Ivy) led 9-0 at the intermission. He added a 23-yard field goal with 42 seconds remaining in the game.

The Penn defense held Dartmouth (1-3, 0-1) to minus 6 yards rushing in the half. In the third quarter, Dartmouth got a 33-yard field goal from Erik Hinterbichler with 6:10 gone but Penn countered with a nine-play, 82-yard scoring drive.

A 41-yard pass to Dan McDonald moved the Quakers to the Dartmouth 19 and, three plays later, McDermott flipped a 7-yard TD pass to Chris Mizell. Zoch converted to make it 16-3.

After trading possessions, Josh Cohen came in as Dartmouth's backup quarterback and fumbled on the second snap from center. Penn's Ric San Doval recovered at the hosts' 20 with 3:35 remaining and McDermott hit Billy May on a 4-yard TD pass three minutes later.

Cohen threw for Dartmouth's only touchdown, connecting with Mark Brogna on a 10-yard scoring pass midway through the fourth quarter.<
