HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) -- Mike Saraceno threw for three touchdowns
and ran for another to lead Colgate to a 34-20 win over Cornell
Saraceno completed 16 of 32 passes for 224 yards. His 39-yard TD
pass to DeWayne Long in the fourth quarter snapped a tie and put
the Raiders (2-2) up 27-20. His 3-yard TD run with less than seven
minutes left sealed the win.
Cornell (1-2) jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter on
A.J. Weitsman's field goals of 42 and 47 yards.
Saraceno responded with two TD passes to Kenny Parker in the
second quarter, one with three seconds remaining, to give Colgate a
17-13 halftime lead.
Mike Rava added two field goals for the Raiders. Jordan Scott
rushed for 153 yards.
Luke Siwula led Cornell with 165 rushing yards and scored a
touchdown on the opening drive of the second half, giving the Big
Red their last lead of the game at 20-17. Joshua Johnston also had
a 2-yard TD run.
It was Colgate's 10th straight win over Cornell.
