HOUSTON (AP) -- Uril Parrish ran for three touchdowns Saturday as Tulsa beat Rice 41-21, extending the Owls' losing streak to 11 games, the longest in the nation.

Parrish scored the first three touchdowns of the game, all in the second quarter, and Ashlan Davis tied an NCAA record with his sixth career kickoff return for a score -- a 96-yarder that made it 41-14 early in the fourth quarter. Anthony Davis set the record with Southern California from 1972-74.

Davis also caught an 8-yard scoring pass from Paul Smith, who was 16-of-21 for 199 yards and a touchdown with an interception. Smith completed passes to nine receivers and had three passes dropped.

Tulsa (4-3, 4-1 Conference USA) went up 28-0 early in the third quarter when Bobby Klinck returned a fumble 19 yards for a touchdown.

John Wall scored touchdowns on 2- and 1-yard runs to lead the Owls (0-5, 0-3).

After a scoreless first quarter, Parrish had touchdown runs of 23, 3 and 10 yards before halftime.

Rice had a 14-yard touchdown run by Joel Armstrong in the first quarter erased by a holding penalty, and the drive ended when the Owls failed on a fourth-down conversion.

Brandon King returned an interception 41 yards for a touchdown to get Rice within 34-14 early in the fourth quarter, but Davis answered with his record-tying kickoff return.
