LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- Sedale Threat threw for 226 yards and two
scores and rushed for another TD to lead Lehigh to a 42-10 win over
Bucknell on Saturday.
Lehigh (5-2, 1-1 Patriot League) came out quickly in the first
half, with Threatt leading an 82-yard drive capped by a 13-yard TD
pass to fullback Greg Fay with 9:18 to go.
Bucknell (1-6, 1-1) responded with a 43-yard field goal by
freshman kicker Will Carney, but that was as close as the game
would get all day.
The Mountain Hawks scored later in the first on Threat's
four-yard quarterback draw, a 13-yard TD pass to Lee Thomas and a
10-yard, double-reverse by Gerran Walker.
Bucknell's Dante Ross capped a 68-yard drive with a 10-yard TD
run to make the score 28-10 at the break, but the Bison would not
In the second half, Fay scored his second TD of the afternoon on
a 21-yard run. Eric Rath, who rushed for 109 yards for Lehigh, then
scored on a one-yard TD later in the third to cap the scoring.
Threatt was 13-of-25 passing on the day and was intercepted
Ross was 7 of 13 for 151 yards and no scores for Bucknell. He
led his team in rushing with 64 yards and a TD, but was also sacked
Daniel Zvara led the Bucknell receiving corps with 107 yards on
four catches, but no other receiver tallied more than 21 yards
through the air.
