BOSTON (AP) -- Clifton Dawson ran for 103 yards and scored three
touchdowns, including one on a kickoff return, to lead Harvard to a
42-14 victory over Dartmouth on Saturday.
Dawson had 223 all-purpose yards in the game and became
Harvard's all-time leading rusher with 3,335 yards. Chris Menick
held the previous record of 3,330 yards.
The Crimson (4-3, 2-2 Ivy League) took a 7-0 lead on a Liam
O'Hagan 7-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Tyler at 6:56 of the first
quarter. O'Hagan was 13-of-22 for 161 yards. He added touchdowns on
1-yard dives in the third and fourth quarters.
Dawson's 1-yard score at 10:48 of the second quarter capped an
eight play, 47-yard drive to give Harvard a 14-0 lead.
A 92-yard return of the second half kickoff gave Dawson his
second touchdown of the game and increased Harvard's lead to 21-0.
His third touchdown of the game came on a 32-yard run in the
Dartmouth (2-5, 1-3) got on the scoreboard at 11:42 of the third
quarter on an 11-yard pass from Joshua Cohen to Ryan Fuseller.
