runs and Paul Johnson returned a blocked punt 25 yards for a score
as Prairie View A&M beat Jackson State 27-9 on Saturday.
It marks was the first win for Prairie View (4-5, 2-5
Southwestern Athletic) over Jackson State since 1971.
Kethon McLaurin had 112 total yards for Jackson State (2-8,
2-6). McLaurin threw for 71 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown
pass to Byron Johnson.
Prairie View's Van Sallier had 10 tackles and a sack.
The teams combined for just 482 yards total offense.
