CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Ingle Martin passed for 323 yards and two touchdowns to lead Furman to a 56-35 win over Chattanooga Saturday.

Martin completed 15-of-17 passes, including touchdown strikes to Jerome Felton and Justin Stepp.

Daric Carter ran for 78 yards and two touchdowns, and fullback Felton added 53 yards on three touchdowns and catching a two-yard pass from Martin for another.

Furman (9-2, 5-2 Southern Conference) took the opening kickoff, and on its first play from scrimmage Martin connected with Stepp for a 58-yard completion to the Chattanooga 3-yard line. Felton then scored to give Furman a 7-0 lead.

Daric Carter's 14-yard TD run halfway through the first quarter gave Furman a 14-0 lead. After Chattanooga (6-5, 3-4) cut Furman's lead to 14-7, Martin connected on a touchdown pass to Felton to make it 21-7.

Furman led 35-14 at halftime and made it 42-21 by the end of the third. Both teams scored twice in the fourth.
