CINCINNATI (AP) -- Dominick Goodman caught a touchdown pass from both of Cincinnati's quarterbacks to help the Bearcats defeat Eastern Kentucky 31-0 on Saturday night in the season opener for both teams.

Nick Davila, who completed 10 of 19 passes for 121 yards, hit Goodman on a 15-yard scoring throw in the second quarter. Goodman grabbed a 6-yard TD pass in the third from Dustin Grutza, who was 9-of-15 passing with 161 yards.

Cincinnati also scored on Butler Benton's 2-yard run and a 6-yard run by Bradley Glatthaar, who rushed for 52 yards on 11 carries.

Eastern Kentucky's Josh Greco completed 16 of 30 passes for 159 yards and had three interceptions. He was sacked three times.

The Colonels got as close as Cincinnati's 15-yard line in the fourth quarter but lost the ball when Greco was picked off by Dominic Ross with 10:42 remaining.

Eastern Kentucky drove back to the 20 on their next possession but Cincinnati's DeAngelo Smith intercepted Greco's pass on the 1. In their last drive, the Colonels failed to get beyond their own 45.
