MANHATTAN, Kansas (Ticker) -- Junior Justin McKinney set the tone for a lopsided affair.

McKinney returned the opening kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown and Dylan Meier threw two TD passes as Kansas State cruised to a 45-0 rout over Florida Atlantic in a non-conference matchup.

With the win, the Wildcats (2-0) won their sixth straight game over an opponent not in the Big 12 Conference.

It took McKinney 18 seconds to cover most of the field and give Kansas Stage a 7-0 lead. After Yamon Figurs capped an eight-play, 83-yard drive with a 38-yard touchdown with 8:33 left in the opening quarter, Meier connected with Jermaine Moreira for a 21-yard score early in the second quarter for a 21-0 cushion.

With a 31-point advantage in the fourth, Meier threw a 14-yard TD strike to Daniel Gonzalez, pushing the lead to 38-0 with 14:54 to go.

The Owls (0-2) were limited to 1.4 yards per carry and have yet to score a touchdown this season.
