INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Chris Horton passed for 156 yards and four touchdowns, including two scores to Michael Jenner, to lead Jacksonville to a 31-7 win over Butler in Saturday's Pioneer Football League opener.

Jerry Brant had 101 yards rushing for the Dolphins (1-2, 1-0 Pioneer Football League).

Jacksonville held Butler (1-3, 0-1) to 26 yards rushing and forced the Bulldogs to punt on 11 of their 14 drives.

Horton threw the longest TD pass of his career on a 64-yard strike to Nate Conner with 5:46 left in the first quarter.

He then directed an 83-yard drive that ended with a 44-yard touchdown pass to Sam Bell that put the Dolphins up 17-0.

On Jacksonville's next drive, Horton threw his third consecutive TD pass on an 18-yard score to Jenner.

Facing a 24-0 deficit, Butler quarterback T.J. Brown drove the Bulldogs 68 yards in 14 plays and ended the drive with a 1-yard touchdown pass to Eric Notestine with five seconds left in the half.

Brown completed 19-of-41 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown.

Horton scored the only points of the second half on a 6-yard TD pass to Jenner.
