The only points for the Pride (2-4) came on a pair of Rob
Zarrilli field goals, 22 and 34 yards. Zarilli, who has hit
13-of-15 field goal attempts this season, had a 42-yard field goal
attempt blocked in the third quarter.
The Blue Hen defense also stopped Hofstra quarterback Anton
Clarkson for no gain on a fourth-and-one play at the Delaware 27
with 3:24 left in the game.
The Hens' best scoring opportunity in the second half was
stopped at the Hofstra 1-yard line when the Pride's Gian Villante
recovered a fumble with 8:35 left in the game.
With the win, the Hens avoided losing three straight home games
for the first time since 1983.
Clarkson completed 16-of-26 passes for 182 yards. Charles
Sullivan had six catches for 78 yards, and Kareem Huggins ran for
58 yards on 10 carries.
