RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Justin Rascati ran for one touchdown and passed for one Saturday, and Kevin Winston returned a fumble for a touchdown, leading No. 5 James Madison to a win over No. 13 Richmond 27-10.

The Dukes (7-1, 5-0 Atlantic 10) took advantage of several poor punts by Richmond's Brian Radford. In the first quarter, following a 26-yard punt, Madison scored on a two-yard Rascati run, capping an 11-play, 51-yard drive that was highlighted by Rascati's 22-yard run.

After Winston partially blocked a punt, David Rabil increased the lead to 10-0 with a 37-yard field goal. The Spiders cut the lead to 10-7 early in the second quarter, on a 7-yard pass from Eric Ward to Matt Hale.

Later in the second quarter, Ward was sacked by Akeem Jordan and fumbled with Winston picking the ball up and returning it 38 yards to give Madison a 17-7 lead.

The Spiders cut the lead to 17-10 on Andrew Howard's 45-yard field goal with 1:06 remaining in the half.

In the fourth quarter, Rascati threw a 43-yard touchdown pass to L.C. Baker. It was Rascati's 42nd career touchdown pass, tying him with Madison. Rabil wrapped up the scoring with a 21-yard field goal with 2:52 remaining.
