BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) -- Lehigh quarterback Sedale Threatt Jr. scored on a pair of short runs to lead the Mountain Hawks to a 23-15 win over Colgate on Saturday.
Threatt score twice from 2 yards out and Jason Leo kicked two field goals as the Mountain Hawks (5-4, 4-0 Patriot League) built a 20-3 lead early in the fourth quarter.
Colgate (3-6, 2-2) rallied with two touchdown passes from Mike Saraceno in the fourth quarter, but Leo booted his third field goal of the game for Lehigh and the Mountain Hawks held the ball for the rest of the game - almost six minutes - following the Raiders' final touchdown.
Threatt threw for 185 yards and added 75 yards on the ground. Marques Thompson added 87 yards on 18 carries for the Mountain Hawks. Leo connected on three of four field goal attempts, including a 41-yarder in the third quarter.
Saraceno was 11-for-18 for 142 yards and tossed touchdown passes of 30 yards to Kenny Parker and 3 yards to David Morgan. Saraceno was picked off once, by Aaron Gillard, setting up Leo's first field goal.
Colgate's Mike Buck kicked a 20-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to cut Lehigh's lead to 14-3 at halftime, but had one extra-point attempt blocked and clanged one off the upright in the second half.
