PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Joe Sandberg ran for two touchdowns and Pennsylvania's defense held Harvard to its lowest point total of the season Saturday, defeating the Crimson 22-13.

Harvard's Clifton Dawson gained 119 yards on 16 carries to become the Ivy League's career leader in rushing yards. Dawson now has 4,781, yards, eclipsing the previous mark of 4,715 set by Cornell's Ed Marinaro in 1969-71.

Rob Irvin passed for 192 yard for the Quakers (5-4, 3-3 Ivy League), who had lost their last three games, all in overtime.

Liam O'Hagan completed 14 of 27 passes for 156 yards and the only touchdown for Harvard (7-2, 4-2).

Dawson's 55-yard run set up the Crimson's touchdown, a 7-yard pass from O'Hagan to Jason Miller. But Penn went ahead on Sandberg's runs of 11 and 15 yards for a 14-7 first-quarter lead.

Two field goals by Braden Lepisto gave the Quakers a 20-7 edge, but a pair of field goals by Matt Schindel, the second coming on the final play of the half, brought Harvard within 20-13 at the break.

The Crimson passed midfield only three times in the second half, and the only scoring in the half came with 6:38 left, when O'Hagan tripped in his end zone, giving Penn its first safety since Nov. 9, 2002, against Princeton.
