HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) -- Mike Saraceno threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Colgate to a 29-28 come-from-behind victory over Holy Cross on Saturday.
Jordan Scott contributed 154 yards and the winning touchdown in becoming only the third Raider back to go over 1,000 yards in consecutive seasons.
Colgate (4-6, 3-2 Patriot League) sparked its rally on the first play of the fourth quarter, when Saraceno raced into the end zone from 23 yards out to cut Holy Cross's lead to 28-22. The Raiders took their first lead of the game with 8:25 left when Scott scored on a three-yard run.
Holy Cross (7-4, 4-2) was paced by quarterback Dominic Randolph's 268 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and 67 rushing yards.
Colgate has won six straight over Holy Cross and this one eliminated the Crusaders from contention for the league championship.
