SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- Gerald Davis rushed for 110 yards and four touchdowns to lead Missouri State a 62-17 win over Division II Missouri-Rolla on Thursday night.

Missouri State (1-0) scored 41 points in the first half and ran up 439 yards in total offense, then coasted the rest of the way. Its 690 yards of total offense was just short of the school record of 752 yards.

Davis scored on a 2-yard run just 1:18 into the game, then had two more 2-yard TD runs before capping the night with a 44-yard touchdown with 8:23 left in the third quarter.

Kingjack Washington scored on a 6-yard run for Missouri State, Stephe Johnston had a 13-yard touchdown run, Tamark McElvane scored on a 55-yard pass from Matt Krapfl, Kirby Cody scored on a 1-yard run and Jared Emery caught a touchdown pass from Tyler Horner with 6:36 left.

Missouri-Rolla's only points came on a 94-yard kickoff return by Antonio Williams, who finished with 210 return yards; a 22-yard field goal by Tim Valencia; and a 4-yard pass from Brad Guidry to Nathan Binder with 2:19 left in the game.

Krapfl was 8-of-12 passing for 200 yards. Jonathan Davis rushed for 113 yards for Missouri State.

Missouri State's defense held Missouri-Rolla (0-2) to 206 yards of total offense. Guidry hit 12-of-27 passes for 104 yards and had two interceptions.
