NEWARK, Del. (AP) -- Joe Flacco threw for 337 yards and three touchdowns to lead Delaware to a 38-9 victory over Rhode Island on Saturday.
Five minutes into the game, the Rams fumbled a pitch on their own 11. Aaron Walters recovered the loose ball in the end zone to give the Hens a 7-0 lead.
Flacco was called for intentional grounding after throwing out of the end zone, making the score 7-2.
Omar Cuff ran in his 12th touchdown this year after Walter Blair intercepted a Rams' pass at their 16. Thirty-three seconds and four plays later, the Hens scored again when Love caught a 15-yard pass with under two minutes left in the first half.
At halftime, the Hens were up 21-2 after two more Rams' turnovers led to a pair of Delaware touchdowns.
In the third quarter, Flacco threw two more touchdowns to Duncan and Mark Mackey. Jon Striefsky kicked a 22-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to make it 38-9.
