ATHENS, Ohio (AP) -- Eugene Jarvis rushed for 230 yards on 30 carries and scored twice to lead Kent State past Ohio 33-25 on Saturday.

Jarvis scored on runs of 42 and 35 yards for the Golden Flashes (3-2, 1-1 Mid-American Conference) who totaled 402 yards of offense.

He now has 999 yards rushing on the year on 155 carries, an average of 6.4 yards a carry and 200 per game.

Julian Edelman completed 12-of-25 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown without an interception for Kent State.

The Flashes led 27-10 after Jarvis' second touchdown run at the 9:28 mark of the third quarter. Ohio never got closer than 10 points after falling behind 17-3 in the first quarter.

Theo Scott hit on 16-of-24 passes for 161 yards and touchdowns of 14 and 13 yards to Andrew Mooney for the Bobcats (2-3, 0-1). Scott had one pass intercepted, as did Brad Bower, who came in to complete 6-of-16 passes for 110 yards.

Kalvin McRae led Ohio with 74 yards rushing and a touchdown.

Nate Reed kicked field goals of 27, 26, 20 and 38 yards for Kent State.
