TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Jalen Parmele's fourth touchdown of the night tied the game with 3:47 left and Alex Steigerwald's extra-point was the difference in Toledo's 35-34 victory over Liberty on Saturday night.

Liberty (3-3) had scored 20 of 26 points to erase a 16-14 Toledo advantage and take a 12-point lead into the fourth quarter before Parmele scored twice.

Parmele rushed for 169 yards on 30 carries and scored on runs of 1, 4 and 5 yards and on a 28-yard pass from D.J. Lenehan. Steigerwald added a field goal and two extra-point kicks, with DaJuane Collins adding an 8-yard scoring run for the Rockets (2-4).

The Flames were led by Rashad Jennings' 160 yards rushing on 24 carries, with two touchdowns. Brock Smith completed 10-of-19 passes for 101 yards including a 19-yard touchdown to Wynton Jackson. Smith did not have an interception.

Toledo totaled 493 yards but Lenehan, who completed 19-of-23 passes for 226 yards, was intercepted by Liberty's Ryan Greiser and Patrick Calvary. The Flames, with 282 total yards, did not have a turnover.

After Parmele's last score, the Flames took over at their own 37. After a 3-yard run, Smith completed a 28-yard pass to Jackson but it was called back because of an ineligible-receiver penalty. After another short completion, Smith misfired on a fourth-down pass and the Rockets ran out the clock.
