NEW YORK (AP) -- Joe Sandberg rushed for 197 yards and four touchdowns to help Pennsylvania beat Columbia 59-28 Saturday.
Bryan Walker threw two touchdown passes and Sandberg ran for two of his scores in the Quakers' 28-point second quarter. Pennsylvania (2-3, 1-1 Ivy League) scored the last 38 points of the first half to take a 45-7 lead at the break.
Craig Hormann threw for 417 yards and two touchdowns for Columbia (1-4, 0-2), which committed three turnovers. Austin Knowlin had 10 receptions for 188 yards and two scores.
Walker completed 16 of 21 passes for 141 yards and two scores for the Quakers, who outrushed Columbia 261-8.
Pennsylvania, which lost its first three games, has scored 114 points in the last three weeks.
