WASHINGTON (AP) -- Jahran Williams caught nine passes for 142 yards and Howard scored 20 points in the final 3:52 on Saturday, rallying for a 35-27 victory over North Carolina A&T.
The Aggies' loss extended the nation's longest losing streak to a school-record 24 games.
A&T (0-8, 0-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) was primed for its first victory since beating Morgan State on Oct. 5, 2005. But the Aggies collapsed as the Bison (3-4, 1-3) mounted a furious comeback to thrill a homecoming crowd of 7,035 that included entertainers Chaka Kahn, Diddy and Bow Wow.
A&T was up 27-15 after a 30-yard touchdown pass from Herbert Miller to Curtis Walls with 10:24 left. But Howard blocked a field goal and then got within 27-21 when Williams hauled in a 28-yard TD reception, his team-leading ninth of the season, from Brian Johnson.
Karlos Whittaker later burst up the middle 27 yards for his scored touchdown, breaking tackles at the 11 and 7. Dennis Wiehberg's point-after put Howard up 28-27 with 2:40 left.
Wiehberg kicked a pair of field goals for the Bison. Johnson was 22-for-34 for 269 yards.
