BOSTON (AP) -- Freshman quarterback Collier Winters, brought in to spark Harvard's offense in the second half, rushed for two touchdowns to keep the Crimson in the hunt for the Ivy League crown with a 28-21 win over Dartmouth on Saturday.

With the game tied at 14-14, Winters scored on a 20-yard run with 1:26 to play in the third quarter.

He added a 4-yard scoring run early in the fourth quarter to give Harvard (5-2, 4-0) a 28-14 lead.

Dartmouth's Ryan Mahoney scored on a 1-yard run with 5:22 to play for the final margin.

The Big Green (2-4, 2-2) took an early lead after Justin Cottrell intercepted a pass from Harvard quarterback Chris Pizzotti on the second play of the game. Alex Jenny threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Brett Lowe less than five minutes into the game for a 7-0 Dartmouth lead.

Pizzotti, who was 16-of-24 for 193 yards, scored on a pair of 1-yard runs to give the Crimson a 14-7 halftime lead.

Dartmouth tied it on Jenny's 55-yard completion to Julian Collins with 4:28 left in the third quarter.

Doug Hewlett had three interceptions for the Crimson, including one that stopped a Dartmouth threat with 1:26 left to play. Cheng Ho ran for 114 yards on 15 carries for Harvard.
