BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) -- Kalvin McRae rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns and Kris Luchsinger returned an interception 58 yards for a pivotal second-half score to lead Ohio past Bowling Green 38-27 on Saturday night.
McRae carried 42 times out of the Bobcats' 70 plays and scored on runs of 3, 1 and 9 yards -- all in the opening half. His last TD helped Ohio (4-5, 2-3 Mid-American Conference) take a 21-10 lead.
Bowling Green (4-4, 2-2) pulled to within a point on a field goal by Sinisa Vrvilo and Anthony Turner's 12-yard touchdown run.
But with 2 minutes left in the third quarter, Luchsinger, a 250-pound defensive end, stepped in front of a pass by Tyler Sheehan and returned it 58 yards for the touchdown to give the Bobcats some breathing room.
Sheehan was 19-of-41 passing for 249 yards with the one interception. He threw touchdown passes of 30 yards to Freddie Barnes and 43 yards to Dan Macon. Willie Geter added 90 yards on 14 rushing attempts.
