POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) -- Cal Poly quarterback Jonathan Dally racked up 572 yards of total offense and six touchdowns to lead his team to a 48-28 non-conference win over Idaho State on Saturday.
Dally completed 16 of 24 pass attempts for 453 yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed for 119 yards and one touchdown on 23 carries.
Wide receiver Ramses Barden had 10 receptions for 268 yards and three touchdowns for the Mustangs. Barden had touchdown catches of 27, 85 and 79 yards. Wide receiver Tredale Tolver added four receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns of 38 and 62 yards.
In the fourth quarter, with Cal Poly leading 41-28, ISU had a chance to cut the Mustangs' lead to less than a touchdown. But a fumble on the 1-yard line stopped a long ISU drive with 10:24 left.
Two big plays highlighted ISU's first half: a first-quarter, 81-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Russel Hill to wide receiver Jaron Taylor, and a 78-yard punt return for a touchdown by Eddie Thompson.
ISU senior running back Josh Barnett rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries for his 14th game rushing for over a 100 yards, a new Bengal record.
The game featured more than 1,000 yards in total offense, with Cal Poly out-gaining ISU (3-5) 687 yards to 379.
