PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Bobby Sewall rushed for 144 yards and four touchdowns, caught 18 passes for 141 yards and threw a touchdown pass to lead Brown to 56-35 win over Dartmouth on Saturday.
Michael Dougherty completed 41-of-50 passes for 403 yards as Brown (4-5, 3-3 Ivy League) compiled more than 600 yards of total offense.
Tom Bennewitz threw for 312 yards on 28-of-38 attempts, while Milan Williams ran for 97 yards on 12 carries to lead the Big Green (3-6, 3-3).
Ryan Mahoney scored on a 1-yard run and Williams added a 4-yard touchdown run as Dartmouth jumped to a 14-0 first-quarter lead.
But the Bears scored four consecutive touchdowns to take a 28-14 halftime lead. Dougherty and Sewall had running touchdowns, then Buddy Farnham caught two touchdown passes in the final minute of the half.
Dougherty connected with Farnham for a 24-yard scoring strike with 46 seconds remaining in the half. Then, following a fumble on Dartmouth's ensuing possession, Sewall threw a 41-yard scoring pass to Farnham on a halfback option play.
Sewall scored on runs of 2 and 1 yards in the third quarter and added a 44-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to make it 49-28.
It was the highest scoring contest in the 85-game series between the schools that dates to 1894.
