CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Allan Holland threw two touchdowns and rushed for a third, leading Eastern Kentucky in a 28-14 win over Austin Peay on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the No. 13 Colonels' defense forced Austin Peay's Gary Orr to throw four interceptions while holding that team at bay four out of five trips to the red zone.
On Eastern Kentucky's opening possession, Holland methodically drove his team downfield on a nine play, 74-yard drive that ended in a 28-yard touchdown pass from to Quinton Williams.
Austin Peay (6-4, 4-3 OVC) finally answered with 3:45 left in the first quarter when Jon Sanders caught a wild fumble from Orr at the 10-yard line and carried two Colonel defenders on his back into the end zone.
The Colonels (8-2, 7-0) posted two more scores before the half, a 29-yard run by Mark Dunn and another pass from Holland to C.J. Walker from 22-yards out, extending their lead to 14.
After a 33-yard touchdown run by Chris Fletcher on the Govs' opening drive of the second half, the Colonels stymied Austin Peay's offense while Hollands' one-yard run would cap off the scoring.
With the win, Eastern Kentucky clinches the OVC championship.
