RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) -- Tyrell Hayden ran for 98 yards and a touchdown and Western Kentucky shutout Eastern Kentucky in the second half in a 37-13 victory on Saturday night.

The Hilltoppers (1-1) totaled 248 yards on the ground for the game. Western Kentucky took a 16-10 lead in the second quarter on a 48-yards field goal by Tanner Siewert.

Western Kentucky went ahead 23-13 in the third quarter when freshman wide receiver Derrius Brooks scored on a 17-yard touchdown run. Tristan Jones caught a 2-yard passing score from David Wolke and Bobby Rainey ran for a 2-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Allan Holland, who completed 24-of-40 passes, threw for 228 yards and scored on a 6-yard run in the second quarter for Eastern Kentucky (0-2).
