CONWAY, S.C. -- Ryan Meyers turned a botched snap on a field-goal attempt into a 16-yard touchdown pass to Adrien Schriefer with no time left Sunday, giving Colgate a 23-19 victory over Coastal Carolina.

The play capped a 20-point, fourth-quarter rally as well as a 69-yard drive that ran the final 1 minute, 44 seconds off the clock for the Raiders (1-1).

Justin Durham's 21-yard field goal with 14:16 left gave the Chanticleers (0-2) a 19-3 lead. It was all Colgate from there.

Jordan Scott scored from 1 yard out with 9:22 to play, and Greg Sullivan ran in for the 2-point conversion. Scott ran 43 times for 190 yards.

Schriefer caught a 6-yard scoring pass from Sullivan with 3:06 to go, but the conversion failed.

Eric O'Neal had a career-high 115 yards on 17 carries and scored a touchdown with 1:53 left in the first half to give Coastal Carolina a 16-3 edge.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, but was moved back one day because of the threat from Tropical Storm Hanna. During Sunday's action, lightning suspended the game nearly two hours.
