MONROE, La. -- Kinsmon Lancaster threw three touchdown passes, including two to receiver Darrell McNeal, and ran for another to help Louisiana-Monroe defeat Alabama A&M 37-15 on Friday night.

McNeal's touchdown catch in the first quarter gave ULM a 7-0 lead, and Alabama A&M would never manage to come back.

The victory was the first of the season for the Warhawks (1-2). The Bulldogs (0-3) remain winless this year, their only touchdown coming off a 3-yard run from Ulysses Banks in the second quarter. Banks ran for only 34 yards on 15 carries.

Lancaster was 14-of-24 passing for a total of 198 yards. Alabama A&M quarterback Kevin Atkins was 17-of-30 passing for 266 yards but couldn't find the end zone.

Running back Frank Goodin added a touchdown for the Warhawks, running for 118 yards on 17 carries. Jeremy Licea kicked a pair of field goals for the Bulldogs from 21 yards and 24 yards, but it wasn't enough to put his team any closer than four points behind ULM.
