ATHENS, Ohio -- Dan LeFevour passed for 361 yards and ran for a touchdown and Ontario Sneed added two short scoring plunges to lead Central Michigan to a 31-28 victory over Ohio on Saturday.

LeFevour capped a 6-play, 76-yard drive with his 2-yard scoring run with 9:08 remaining, boosting the Chippewas (2-1, 1-0 Mid-American Conference) to a 31-21 lead.

The Bobcats (0-3, 0-1) came right back and scored on their first play after the ensuing kickoff on Boo Jackson's 77-yard pass to Chris Garrett, with Barrett Way's extra-point kick cutting the lead to three points.

After forcing a punt, the Bobcats drove to a first down at the CMU 8. But three plays later Jackson was hit at the goal line by Nick Bellore and fumbled, with Matt Berning recovering for the Chippewas in the end zone.

Ohio got the ball back once more but Jackson was sacked by Casey Droscha and fumbled again, with Sean Murnane recovering at the Bobcats 40 with 30 seconds remaining. The Chippewas then ran out the clock.

LeFevour also led CMU in rushing, netting 45 yards on 17 carries. Sneed, who had 15 yards on six carries, scored on runs of 1 and 3 yards.

Garrett also scored on a 12-yard run and 45-yard pass from Jackson. Jackson set a school record with 413 total yards. He completed 17-of-31 passes for 365 yards and three scores, his passing yardage ranking as the fourth-best passing day at Ohio.

Antonio Brown had a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown for Central Michigan.
