HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Greg Dillon threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns, including 58 yards on the ground to lead Grambling State to a 27-9 win over Alabama A&M on Saturday.

The Tigers (5-2, 2-0 Southwest Athletic Conference) slightly outgained the Bulldogs (2-5, 1-1) 298-200 on offense, but Alabama A&M had three turnovers in the game.

Marcell Owens' safety put the Bulldogs ahead early in the opening quarter, but Dillon connected with Van Phillips on a 19-yard touchdown to give the Tigers a 7-2 lead at the end of the first.

The teams scored once each in the second as Frank Warren's 1-yard run gave Grambling State a 14-2 lead midway through the frame, and Gerald Stockdale's 1-yard run cut the Alabama A&M defecit to five points at the half.

But, after a scoreless third quarter, Dillon put Grambling State ahead 21-9 with a 29-yard touchdown pass to Nick Lewis. Brandon Jones' fumble recovery in the endzone with 51 seconds to go sealed the win for the Tigers.
