GRAMBLING, La. -- Greg Dillon accounted for 327 total yards and two touchdowns to spark Grambling State to a 27-7 win against Alabama State on Saturday.

Dillon completed 17 of 30 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns, adding 147 yards rushing on 20 carries for the Tigers (6-2, 3-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Larry Donnell also had 54 yards and two touchdowns on three receptions.

The Tigers outgained the Hornets (1-5, 1-2) 409-169 in the game.

Luis Leal hit a 35-yard field goal in the opening quarter, and Dillon hit Donnell on a 13-yard pass to give Grambling State a 10-0 lead with 8:02 remaining in the second. Seven minutes later, Frank Warren's 1-yard scoring run gave the Tigers a 17-0 halftime lead.

Anthony Speight's 8-yard touchdown pass to Nicholas Andrews cut the Hornets' deficit to 10 points to open the third, but Leal's 44-yard field goal and Dillon and Donnell's 24-yard connection put the game away in the final quarter.
